We built it the same way we build every client project: from a blank file, in VS Code, with no template, no page builder, and no theme underneath it. If we are going to tell people that custom code produces a better result, our own site should be the first place we prove it.
Verbolta is four people based in Charlotte, NC. We started with websites because that is where the gap was most obvious. Small businesses were handed the same cookie-cutter build by someone who never asked what the business actually needed. Two of those builds are live now: Ageless Athlete Physical Therapy in Lake Norman and American Track Ascension here in Charlotte.
Websites are where we started, not where we stop. We are a software team, and the same standards apply to everything we ship: understand the problem first, write the code ourselves, and leave the client with something they own outright.
